The history of the workshop
I’d like to take you back to the 19th century, when my great-grandfather, Antonio Sánchez, ran a jewellery workshop in Málaga. This story shaped a generation of artisan jewellers in my family and would lead me to pursue my life’s work.
Back in 1956, my father, Antonio Sánchez, aged just 11, began his journey into the world of artisan jewellery-making under his grandfather’s guidance.
People speak of the 1970s as a fascinating period of change in Spain, and specifically in 1975, my father, together with three jewellers , founded ADAE.
We all have a purpose in life, and I believe my father’s was to instil in me a passion for handcrafted jewellery before he left this world.
At the age of 20, I began working for my father’s last business partner; Carlos Botín was my mentor, from whom I learnt this craft, which I continue to practise and of which I feel both happy and proud.
A jewellery workshop that enjoyed great success in the city of Málaga for many years thanks to its magnificent designs and quality. Between 1987 and 1997, three of the four partners passed away, including Antonio Sánchez senior.
“I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can’t possess radiance, you can only admire it.”
– Elizabeth Taylor
In 2011, I bought the workshop and set out on my own, renaming it in honour of my father, Antonio Sánchez.
Over the years, I can say that every piece of jewellery I design and subsequently create is made with love and passion.
After so many years, my loyal customers have developed a real appreciation for jewellery; they know exactly what they want and value it as it deserves.
In 2022, I progressed from qualified craftsman to master jeweller.
My hands craft the jewellery that your mind envisions; I offer professional guidance to help you create the piece of jewellery you desire.
Whenever people ask me what I find most fulfilling about my job, I always give the same answer:
Being able to design and create the piece of jewellery my customers want with my own hands, and seeing their dream come true.
One of the most fascinating aspects of the art of jewellery-making is being able to restore customers’ jewellery that holds sentimental value for them and make it look as good as new.
I’m waiting for you, the one reading this, at the workshop of dreams, where imagination begins and we end up with magic.
